Sandra Finger - Coach/Athletic Director (1974 - 2007)

Sandra Finger taught and coached at Cedarburg High School from 1974-2007 and was the Co-Athletic Director for seventeen years. Her administrative leadership was the foundation for the growth and advancement of girl’s athletics.

During her college career at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she helped establish women’s athletics, as she participated in badminton, basketball and volleyball.  Sandra received the Chancellor’s Most Valuable Women’s Athlete Award in 1973, and she was inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame in 1985.

Sandra continued her prolific journey of excellence during her years at CHS, as she coached volleyball, basketball, tennis, gymnastics, and track and field.  She demanded everything of her athletes and more, always challenging them to do their best. This intensity and focus extended beyond athletics, as many of her athletes live by the same standards today.

During her years as Co-Athletic Director, her insightful understanding of people, ethical leadership, and goals for the growth of girls’ athletics were valued by athletes, coaches, and administrators throughout the state.

Sandra’s educational and athletic ideals brought growth, sportsmanship, integrity, and excellence to Cedarburg High School.
