Ray Thomas - Distinguished Service

Ray Thomas has been a Cedarburg resident and owner of Tomaso’s Pizzeria since 1976.  During this time, he has been a spectator, supporter, and donator to Cedarburg High School athletics, taking great pride in our academic teams.

Ray has always been an advocate of student-athletes playing multiple sports.  To promote this belief, each year he awards a scholarship to one deserving student who plays and excels in three or more sports.  In addition, each year he provides a scholarship for one senior football player and one senior girls’ basketball player.

A former member of the Cedarburg Athletic Booster Club, Ray was instrumental in organizing efforts to raise funds during the club’s infancy.  His ideas such as selling pizzas, coffee, and hot chocolate at Maxwell Street Days helped the club develop a reserve fund which was used to plan major fundraisers like the annual Dinner Dance and Golf Outing.  As a result, the Booster Club has played a major role in helping fund many of the outstanding facilities we have today.  Ray helped make this possible with his vision and generosity through his restaurant.
