Glenn W. Frank - Athlete - Class Of 1947

Glenn Frank attended Cedarburg High School from 1943-1947, participating in five sports.  He lettered three times in football and was the captain of the 1946 4-C Conference championship team.  He earned two letters in basketball and was the leading rebounder, second leading scorer, and captain of the 1946-47 conference championship team.  He earned a letter in track and was president of the Lettermen’s Club his senior year.

Glenn was named to the National Star Athletes Society of the United States, today’s equivalent of the High School All-American Football Team.  He was offered a football scholarship to both Marquette and Georgia Tech Universities, declining the latter in order to stay close to family.

Glenn managed Cedarburg Light and Water Utilities for 34 years; and under his leadership, significant growth occurred within the utility.  His professional skills and love of football drove Glenn to help bring lights to the Cedarburg High School football field.  One of his greatest accomplishments was seeing the first Friday night game played under the lights.

Glenn’s love of athletics continued with his four children who each earned varsity letters at Cedarburg High School.  Both of his sons went on to play college football, and many of his grandchildren have also excelled in athletics.
