HAYDEN KNIGHT - (COACH

A native of Trinidad, Knight was a distinguished amateur, collegiate, professional, and international soccer player. He starred at Marquette University from 1976-79, played with six teams in the North American Soccer League, three in the Major Indoor Soccer League during a ten-year career and earned three caps for the U.S. national team in 1984.

Knight began coaching at Cedarburg High School in 1988 and immediately brought the boys' and girls' soccer programs to prominence. Under his leadership, the boys' teams garnered three WIAA Division 1 state championships (1989, 1991, 1996) and were state runner-up in three other years (1992, 1994, 1995). He also led the CHS girls' program to two WIAA Division 1 state championship finals (1994, 2004).

While under Knight’s guidance, numerous players achieved state and national awards and developed into exceptional players and coaches. His influence is paramount to the foundation of excellence for the CHS Soccer programs.

Knight’s coaching skills are well regarded and recognized both in the state and national soccer community. He is a member of the Marquette University Hall of Fame, Wisconsin Soccer Association Hall of Fame, and Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame.
