Meghan Herrick

Meghan Herrick attended Cedarburg High School from 2004-2008, participating in three sports. Herrick lettered in basketball, softball and volleyball; however, she attained most of her achievements in basketball. Herrick was a four-year letter winner in basketball. She received All-Conference Honorable Mention as a freshman point guard and earned First Team All-Conference and All-State Honorable mention as a senior. Herrick also lead the team in scoring, assists, and rebounds as a senior. Herrick was elected team Captain in three out of four years as a member of the basketball program. She helped lead her team to three Conference Championships and captured a Regional Championship as a freshman. Herrick finished her career with the most wins in the history of Cedarburg girls’ basketball.

 

Herrick competed in two other sports as a Bulldog, starting two years on the softball team and a year on the volleyball team. She was named First Team All-Conference shortstop as a freshman and senior. Herrick was selected to play in the Division 1 State Softball All-Star game, while also being selected as team Captain her senior year. In addition, she started on the Varsity Volleyball Team as a sophomore. Along with being a fantastic athlete, Herrick was exceptional in the classroom, finishing her academic career in the top two percent of her class.

 

Herrick attended the University of Chicago and was named an All-American for the 2010-11 basketball season and was the team MVP in the same season. She broke multiple records, including 375 made free throws throughout her career and 146 free throws made in a season (2010-11). She also finished 10th all-time on the scoring list with 1,064 points and 7th all-time with 284 assists. Meghan helped lead her team to two University Athletic Association Conference Championships and three NCAA tournament bids.
