Rod Wilterdink

Coach Wilterdink was the Varsity Softball Coach for Cedarburg High School for 26 years. His overall record during his tenure was 363-156. Wilterdink led his teams to nine conference championships and nine State tournament runs. In 2004, he was named area Coach of the Year. The foundation that he built at Cedarburg has helped the program grow to become one of the most respected in Wisconsin.

 

Wilterdink also coached baseball for 10 years at Cedarburg High School. After leaving the Bulldog Softball Program in 2005, he coached for Concordia University for two years and MSOE for one season. He was also named to the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2010.

Coach Wilterdink has made an impact throughout the community. His pursuit of excellence in performance and character extended his value to the school players that go way beyond wins and losses. His analytical mind and game strategy have been highlighted as his greatest attributes. Coach Wilterdink’s ability to maintain the integrity of the sport and see the potential in a player is something that has been exhibited year in and year out.
